Rugged mobile terminals with proven technology from Skeye
Tuesday, April 20, 2010
Swindon UK, April 2010. At this year’s Logistics Link Live, Skeye will be presenting a new mobile terminal in tablet format. It was especially de-signed for deployment in the field service and logistics market. Its 5.7” touch screen display, its low weight of less than 800 grams and its robust, industry-standard construction make the new device unique. Under the product name of skeye.e-motion, an ideal companion is offered for mobile order and materials management as well as navigation. The high-performance terminal handles online communications using all common wireless technologies, including the mobile telephone network, WLAN and Bluetooth.
Skeye, a business division of the German IT and engineering Group Hoeft & Wessel, had already presented a mobile tablet computer with Internet access at the international fair CeBIT 10 years ago. The revolutionary idea at the time was awarded an innovation prize. Ever since the company has sold more than 25,000 mobile terminals for use in industry. Its customers include forwarding agencies and European automobile associations like the British RAC or the German ADAC.
