Acrovision demonstrate the new Cognex DataMan® 500 image-based barcode reader

Acrovision are pleased to be showing the new Cognex DataMan® 500 image-based barcode reader. It is designed to achieve higher read rates, offer improved on-line visualization and have higher reliability than laser scanners currently in use in the logistics and distribution markets.

Using Cognex IDMax® superior code reading software, DataMan 500 reads 1D barcodes that laser readers cannot read, including damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height and low contrast codes. It processes images at up to 1,000 frames per second and can read 1D and 2D codes in any orientation, and multiple codes in the same image.

A live demonstration of the reader on a conveyor system will be shown at the show.
